The Winery
Bodegas Señorío de Líbano is equipped with the latest technology to produce top-quality wines. We have facilities that include a concrete tank hall and tronconical tanks, an aging hall, vat rooms, and a storage warehouse.
Tank Hall: We have tronconical stainless steel tanks with capacities of 5,000 and 9,400 liters, concrete tanks coated with epoxy fibers used for blending and as holding tanks, and wooden vats with a capacity of 20,500 liters, where malolactic fermentations, refining, and blending of wines are carried out.
Aging Hall: Semi-buried and spanning 800 square meters, it houses 2,500 barrels made of American and French oak, providing optimal humidity and temperature conditions for a regular and stable aging process. The average age of our barrels is between 3 to 5 years.
The barrels are crafted from a selection of the finest types of oak from each region. For the French oak, it comes from the Tronçais and Allier forests, and for the American oak, from the Missouri and Appalachian areas. The different toasting levels of the wood vary the aging time of the wine between a minimum of 14 months and a maximum of 20 months, achieving different nuances for each type of wine.
Moreover, Bodegas Señorío de Líbano achieves the clarity of its wines over time, naturally, through constant racking and removing the last liters from each barrel, which carries away most of the particles. However, clarifications and stabilizations that could impair the organoleptic quality of the wine are avoided.
Before bottling, the wine undergoes a period of refinement and blending in French oak vats.
Storage and Bottling Hall: Located in a 350 square meter underground space, it holds up to 325,000 bottles of various brands and vintages.
